Uluru

Once upon a time Uluru went to the Wild West. He was a famous cowboy rider. One day Uluru fell off his horse so he lassooed the horse and rode to the barn. He found his tractor was stolen. A thief had stolen his trailor too. So Uluru got on his horse and galloped to the thieves and put them in jail so he could watch them live in misery.

The storm felt like trees cracking.
The storm looked like grass making patterns.
The storm sounded like the wind whistling.

On a warm summer day Murphy lost his bone. When Helen went out in her car Murphy and Stella sneakily ran to the garden and squeezed through the gate. They made a run for it down the road running past houses and cars. At the end of the road they reached a farm and Murphy checked in the pigpen. A pig bowled them over! After the pig had bowled them over Murphy found his ball and Stella found her bone. Murphy loves his ball!

Autumn sounds like scruffy leaves falling from the sky.
Autumn sounds like the wind whistling.
Autumn feels like sitting by the fire having a hot chocolate in my dressing gown and bunny slippers.

Term 1

My favourite thing this term was when the animals came to see us. I liked it when the goats ate the grass like a lawn mower. I also like it when the piglet dug holes in the dirt. Jazz the puppy was a cute dog. I hope they can come again.

Matua Elmars brought in a Huntsman spider. The builders found the Huntsman spider. The spider was furry and scary. Frankie was brave when she held the spider.

Granny Lima's Bedtime Story

We are learning to retell a story March 2008

Once upon a time there lived a princess. “Why can’t I go out of the gates?” “Because there is a big scary ogre out there and he won’t let anyone out.” So she got on her beautiful white horse and she rode to the gate. “Stop!” said the ogre. “I am magic,” said the princess, “I will grant you three wishes.” “I don’t want any wishes.” “Give me two days,” said the princess. “Okay,” said the ogre. She came back from the hillside and amazingly she came back with the prince. The prince and princess got married and they lived happily ever after.
