Super snake.
Slimy like a slug.
Super strong and hard as steel.

Have you ever seen a new leaf?
Lime green, tiny shapes, dances madly.
Fresh!

The storm looked like trees swaying in the wind, toppling over on the ground.
The storm sounded like wind rattling on my
windows.
The storm made me feel like monsters
were attacking.

Autumn feels like hot steaming Milo in the morning.
It is cold and freezing while you wait.
Autumn looks like really colourful leaves falling from the trees.
Autumn sounds like extremely heavy rain on the roof.
Autumn sounds extremely crunchy when you stand on a leaf pile.

Room on the Broom

We are learning to retell a story March 2008

The witch and her cat were flying on the broomstick. The wind blew so hard the witch’s hat fell off. “Down”, cried the witch but she couldn’t find her hat. The something was in the bush and a dog came with a hat in his mouth. “Is there room for me?” “Yes”, so the witch and the dog and the cat flew away. This time she held her hat but her plait fell out. A bird helped her find her hair bow and he hopped on the broom too. Next she dropped her wand and a frog found it. He went on the broom too and was jumping up and down. The broom snapped. The animals fell down and the witch flew in a cloud. A dragon was there and he said he wanted to eat witch and chip. He saw a muddy beast come out of the mud and it scared him away. The witch was scared and the beast turned out to be the four animal friends. The witch cast a spell to make a broom big enough to fit her and the animal friends.
