Fireworks

Look like big bombs shooting out.
Sound like the bangs and booms of an old car.
Tastes like foggy smoke.
Fireworks smell like old, old fireworks.

Pink white, beautiful smell, bright coloured.
Flowers.

The storm sounded like the whistling wind
smashing against my wiggling window.
The swaying trees were smashing on my house.
The storm made me feel scared because there was big wind smashing on my house.
The storm looked like a 60 foot pine tree crashing onto my house.

THE AMAZING ADVENTURES OF MURPHY

One sunny morning Murphy was playing with his favourite ball when it accidentally flew over the fence. The ball bounced down the street to a boy. The boy kicked the ball away and it landed in a WRX car. Murphy and Stella followed the WRX all the way to Richmond. They went such a long way Murphy’s legs were too tired to move, he was not happy. Stella had to carry Murphy home. Stella was not happy but she did it anyway. When they got home Murphy and Stella had heaps of dog food then they went to sleep.

One evening last summer Jim and Debbie took a drive when suddenly they saw a spaceship. A vicious and ferocious alien jumped out. He said “I will invade your town. Ha ha ha!” The alien used his slow motion gun. Jim and Debbie were running as slowly as a slug. By the time they got to the car the alien had already taken their keys. Jim and Debbie slowly slithered home but the keys were with the aliens. They were locked out but they found a hammer and smashed the door. When they got in they saw the alien asleep on the couch. They stole the alien’s slow motion gun. They used it on the alien and they laughed.

Autumn looks like colourful leaves gliding down from a tree.
Autumn sounds like crackling leaves under my feet.

Term 1

My favourite thing this term was the Kahikatea Swimming Carnival. I liked the carnival because all of the grown ups were watching us. I went in five events and I won three events. I liked the piggyback race the best. I liked it because I won it. I hope we can do it again.
