Diving deep into the sea,
Dancing in the darkness.
Flipping like a dolphin and bending like a snake.
Attacking whales one by one.

The storm looked like twisting raindrops falling from the sky out of nowhere.
The storm felt like very strong raindrops dripping on my head.
The storm sounded like raindrops crashing on the roof and the fire making a rattling noise.

Autumn feels like leathery leaves and spiky leaves in front of my eyes.
Autumn looks like stalky leaves gliding, grenading like an army.
Autumn sounds like leaves on the roof while I’m asleep.
Autumn sounds like the crackling of the fire when Bella is by it.

Term 1

My favourite thing this term was World Maths Day. This was a competitive game where you try and answer maths questions on the computer. This guy from Canada kept beating me on the computer. I bet he was sad because once I beat him. I can’t wait to do it again next year!

The builders found a Huntsman spider near Room five and gave it to Matua Elmars. Matua Elmars showed us the spider. Frankie got to hold it, it was funny and brown. It came from Australia.

Granny Lima's Bedtime Story

We are learning to retell a story March 2008

Once upon a time there lived a princess who wanted to go out of the kingdom but there was an evil ogre guarding it. Then she came up with a plan, she hid behind the trees. She saw the ogre crying, “Oh my son.” The princess got on her white horse. She told the ogre she was magic. She said she would find the prince and she did, and married him. They lived happily ever after.
