Fireworks in the sky look better than a butterfly.
I can see the lovely fireworks in the starry sky.
Can’t you smell that horrible gunpowder smell in the sky?

One winters morning Uluru woke from a beautiful sleep. He wanted to play in the park after breakfast with his seven best friends Jonti, Elizabeth, Aimee, Paige, Frankie, Groovy Chick and Genius.but his mean boss said “No, no, no, no. You have to clean the shelf, do the washing and read 100000 hard books”. But Uluru said “No way”.
Uluru sneaked out the window and ran to the park and played in the park with his seven friends.

THE ADVENTURES OF MURPHY
One summers evening it was so hot Murphy and Stella wanted to go to the beach but Helen would not take them. The dogs saw that the neighbours were going to the beach so they jumped in the neighbour’s car. When they got to the beach Stella ran into the water. “Yap yap,” said Stella. After an hour Murphy and Stella sneaked back into the car and hid in the back seat. The neighbours drove home. Helen came outside to have a coffee. “Where are my dogs?” she cried. “Oh no!”. Just then Stella and Murphy came running. “Oh, here you are,” Helen said. Stella and Murphy gave Helen a big sloppy kiss.

One evening last summer Jim and Debbie took a drive when something happened. There was a spaceship coming down to earth. There was a little girl and her dad. The little girl’s dad saved her. He said “I will save you!” The alien picked up the people and took them to his spaceship. The alien took the two people back to space and they lived happily ever after.

Term 1

My favourite thing this term was buddy time. My buddy is Holly and she is in Room 1. Holly is nice because she played with me. We played dodge ball and it was fun. Buddy time is cool!

Room on the Broom

We are learning to retell a story March 2008


Once there was a witch who had a cat. The witch’s hat blew away and they looked and looked. A dog came with the big hat. “Is there room for me?” he asked. They all hopped on. The witch grabbed on too and her bow fell down. A bird came along and got the bow and the bird gave it back and they all went on. The witch lost her wand and frog came along with it and jumped on the broomstick. The broomstick snapped in two and the witch fell into the fog. A dragon got the witch and the dragon said “I want witch and chips!” Four heads came out from the water. “Buzz off, that’s my witch!” The dragon ran off. Ziggity zaggity zoom. The broom looks cool now.
